The 997 valuation site is being built
997Value.com will do for the Porsche 997 (2005–2012) exactly what 996Value.com does for the 996: a free valuation calculator, model guide, and monthly market report — every figure computed from verified auction sales, never from asking prices or estimates. The dataset comes first; the calculator opens when the data supports it.
Same rules as 996Value.com
Verified auction hammer prices only (buyer fees excluded), from Bring a Trailer, Cars & Bids, PCarMarket, Collecting Cars, and Hemmings. Values are medians of comparable sales in the car's mileage band. Adjustments — bore scope and IMS on the 997.1, coolant pipes on the Turbo and GT cars, Sport Seats, PCCB — are published only when the dataset measures them. Where the data is thin, the site will say so instead of printing a number.
- 997.1 (2005–2008) and 997.2 (2009–2012) are valued separately — different engines, different gearboxes (Tiptronic S vs PDK).
- Every variant gets its own dataset: Carrera through GT2, built sale by verified sale.
- The free monthly 997 Market Report follows once the dataset supports it.
